The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We are lucky to live in Provo, close to all the action happening for the Freedom Fest.

We woke up super early and went to the hot air balloon festival and breakfast with Lini and Kylie. As you can see Mike was very excited.
I decided to make some treats for the fireworks that night. I tried to bring out the inner Marci Bedingfield/Martha Stewart in me and thought I would make some red, white and blue cupcakes.
I used red velvet cake batter, white cream cheese frosting and blue frosting for decoration. I think I will leave the home making to Marci.
Here are my babies all decked out for th 4th of July. Everyone made fun of their bandanas but I loved them.

Here we are super sunburned waiting for the fireworks. We had a super fun 4th of July and can't wait til next year!
